Upstream Production Solutions (Upstream PS) has secured the operations and maintenance contract with Empire Oil & Gas for the Red Gully gas-condensate facility in Western Australia.
The two-year contract will continue Upstream PS’ work at the processing facility, where it has been working since the plant was commissioned in 2012. The contract has options for two 12-month fixed-term extensions.
“We welcome the entry into a further contract with Empire, having successfully worked together to improve the efficiency of the operation since its inception,” Upstream PS Managing Director Joe Corvetti said.
GR Engineering’s Managing Director, Geoff Jones said, “Upstream PS continues to perform well in challenging market conditions and we are pleased to see the retention of core clients.”
The number of personnel provided under the contract can also be increased to reflect any plant expansions at Red Gully or new production hubs.
“The benefits of the maintenance and operations contract are significant,” Empire CEO Ken Aitken said.
“The increase in cash receipts flowing from Tranche 2 of the Alcoa contract, the prospect of additional sales to other customers and the savings which will be generated from the new operations and maintenance contract all represent significant wins for Empire shareholders.”
