In his presentation, “Operatorship Transition: Opportunities and Challenges” Steve Heinemann, Upstream PS Operations Manager will discuss the many elements that must be coordinated, and stakeholders with whom to collaborate, in order to achieve successful transition of asset Operatorship.
“There are many drivers that may provoke a change of Operatorship, from the sale of aging depleted assets, to the current Oil/Gas price driving more cost effective operations models or the need to upgrade operations to meet internal and/or external expectations,” said Steve Heinemann, “Regardless, safety culture, alignment of objectives and strong collaboration between all parties are of utmost importance to ensure the safe and successful transition of any asset’s Operatorship.”
Steve has more than 40 years’ experience in the oil and gas, both upstream and downstream in engineering, project management and operations in Australasia, Asia and Europe for Shell, BHP, BP, Santos, Origin, Woodside and others. For the last 11 years with Upstream PS, Steve has managed FPSOs, onshore and offshore oil and gas plants in start-up, operation and transition.
